How much will a contractor charge to install commercial flooring?

We all know those old floors that you get in a workspace sometimes. Sticky carpet, old linoleum kitchens, scratched and dated looking tiles or wood flooring. It really makes an impact not just on how the space looks but also how it feels to work in, and even how productive the team is. Multiple studies have been made on a team’s productivity and that it can be positively influenced by the space they work.

You want your space to have happy creative and productive vibes. An office or workspace that is inspiring gives workers an environment that promotes efficient work, and it needs to be thought about from the bottom up.

Here at Fin we get that, so the flooring is where we start with your workroom refresh. As the foundation of the room, it needs some thought. But what types of flooring are there and how much will you expect to pay a contractor to install your flooring?

Type of flooring

We take into consideration different factors when deciding with you on your type of flooring. Noise suppression and maintenance of the workspace are big deciding factors when thinking about what would work best in the space. If you have a busy hub then you don’t want everyone to be distracted by the clattering of footfall.

For example, is there going to be a lot of movement in your space, of people or even machinery? Then rubber flooring will give you good protection and also be sound-reducing so that any neighbors will not be disturbed. Do you want to encourage your clients by having an inviting space? Carpet is a tried and tested material that really makes a workspace warm and comfortable.

We want to give you the most control in your space possible, and so some of the options we work with are:

  • Ceramic tile
  • Polished concrete
  • Vinyl
  • Carpet
  • LVT
  • VCT
  • Cork
  • Rubber flooring

Size of area

The size of the area will also be taken into consideration when pricing the installation.

The average contractor charge can be:

  • Average Smallest room size – $1500+
  • Average Medium room size – $2000 – $3000
  • Average Biggest room size- $4500+

We also want to make the upgrade to be as pain-free as possible and so have the option for you to have your new flooring put in during your off-hours. This could mean evenings and weekends so that when you come into work the next morning you have 100% functionality and can carry on being great at your job.
