Delivering high-quality, high-value workspace interiors in the Pacific Northwest area. We aim to be exemplary employers, exceed expectations and empower clients through open communication, excellent working partnerships and efficient delivery of service.

Offices

Office flooring needs to fit not only the interior design, and meet workplace regulations, but also be functional to the needs of the team. It might also need to be considered from room to room, as what will work in an office space might not work in the kitchen for example. Here at Fin we have a lot of experience coming into workspaces and working with you to determine what would be best for the space and your budget. This could be wood flooring in the reception, tile in the kitchen and carpet in the conference room. We take into account the factors that matter the most to you and then combine that with our knowledge of the manufactures and their products to only present choices that reflect your best interests.

Commercial Kitchens and Restaurants

Here at Fin we know that commercial kitchens and restaurants need to have the strong stuff. When you combine heat, water, and heavy equipment you need to know that your flooring is up to the job. It needs to be easy to clean, won’t cause health and safety issues like slipping and be comfortable to stand on for hours at a time. We have found that tile and vinyl are two of the most popular options for this environment, and there are a variety of colours and styles so that your kitchen is not only practical but also will fit your aesthetic. Just let us know what you are after and we can help advise you on your best choices. We will only give you recommendations that are in line with your goals and what you need for your workspace.

Medical / Healthcare

In a healthcare environment, the floor needs to meet many demands. Not only does it need to be practical to clean and keep up to sanitary regulations, but it also needs to be durable enough to withstand the wear and tear of heavy footfall and equipment being moved daily. Our flooring experts understand the regulations that need to be met for both public and private healthcare providers. Things like infection prevention and control, sterile environments and strict door gap requirements will all be taken into consideration. Understanding the function of the space is also key, especially as this can change from room to room. We can advise you on what would be the most practical and hardwearing.

Retail

A retail environment needs to be welcoming and warm, encouraging its customers to stay for as long as possible to enjoy the products and services offered. This is especially vital as the retail world changes. Design needs to start from the floor up, be comfortable to walk on but also be able to withstand heavy footfall day after day. The brand and look of the retailer also needs to be a consideration, ensuring the customer gets the full experience from the space. We have found that multiple options work in this environment, from carpet and tile to LVT and wood. As there are many choices to consider, we work with you to make sure that you are getting the best flooring for your requirements and goals, recommending the best manufacturer and product.

Government

Government buildings can serve numerous purposes. Government offices, libraries and courthouses all fall under this bracket, and with each different area comes different needs and requirements. Here at Fin, our flooring experts will be able to work with the legislation required in each project and be able to identify their specific needs. Carpeting for an office, wood for a comfortable reception or courtroom, we have plenty of ideas for what would be best. Balancing aesthetic with durability is important especially in spaces that are for the public and are intended to support large crowds. We work with the facilities manager to recommend not only the best products but also to make sure that the services these buildings provide will not be hindered by the flooring work. We can come in overnight, and the next day you have a new floor. Easy!

Industrial

Industrial conditions put a lot of pressure on the floor. Machinery, chemicals and heavy loads create a high intensity environment and the last thing you need to worry about is your flooring not being up to the task. You also want a long lifespan, ensuring that despite the wear you won’t need to replace the flooring after a year. Flooring like polished concrete, resinous flooring and epoxy flooring are great options for this type of workspace. We can assess the area and advise what the best flooring treatment would be for you and your industry.

Gyms

Gyms have a few requirements for their flooring, mainly that it needs to be safe and durable while still looking good. With customers using heavy equipment, the flooring must be able to withstand dropped weights and a lot of movement. Rubber flooring is great for maintaining comfortable but durable flooring. It also is easy to clean, making it perfect for environments where sanitation standards need to be met like a gym. In other areas, such as a yoga studio, wood is a popular option as it has a lot of grip and is easy to keep level. No matter what type of exercise area you need we can help you to access your priorities and make sure you end up with a floor to match.
